About Ramshackle Trivia
My name is Matt, and I am your friendly proprietor/host of Ramshackle Trivia!
A lifelong trivia enthusiast, I started hosting for a big corporate national bar trivia company in 2017. It was the best job I ever had, and it was an invaluable experience where I learned a lot about the performative aspect of trivia hosting. But I long thought that I'd be able to put out a better product myself. In the Spring of 2024, I decided the time was right for me to strike out on my own, and Ramshackle Trivia was born.
The Ramshackle name stems from a weekly online game that I did for 62 weeks during the pandemic. We had a lot of fun, and the questions were good, but the production values left a lot to be desired. The brick-and-mortar version will be a lot more polished, but we like the name, so we're keeping it.
Ramshackle Trivia will soon be featured weekly at two venues:
* The Bonniebrook Ristorante, 104 Serene Lane, Butler PA 16002 - Mondays at 7:00 starting June 3
* Saxonburg Fireman's Club, 155 Pittsburgh Street, Saxonburg PA 16056 - Thursdays at 7:00 starting May 30
We'll have some practice games the first couple of weeks, as we fine-tune and perfect our product before making our official debut on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Tacos and Trivia Night Fundraiser for J & J Farms Animal Sanctuary, held at the Saxonburg Fireman's Club. So if you're a trivia player looking for a new challenge, or if you're a venue owner looking for a fresh new trivia game for your establishment, run by a trivia host with a large local following, and with questions lovingly handcrafted by a local trivia artisan, then we encourage you to come and check us out when we get under way after Memorial Day!
