About Ramshackle Trivia
My name is Matt, and I am the creator and host of Ramshackle Trivia!
A lifelong trivia enthusiast, I started hosting for a big corporate national bar trivia company in 2017. It was the best job I ever had, and it was an invaluable experience where I learned a lot about the performative aspect of trivia hosting. But I long thought that I'd be able to put out a better product myself. In the Spring of 2024, I decided the time was right for me to strike out on my own, and Ramshackle Trivia was born.
The Ramshackle name stems from a weekly online game that I did for 62 weeks during the pandemic. We had a lot of fun, and the questions were good, but the production values left a lot to be desired. The brick-and-mortar version is a bit more polished, but we liked the name, so we kept it.
We like to say that we are trivia for people who love trivia. Our games are engaging, informative, entertaining, and more than just questions and answers. With Ramshackle Trivia, it's not always just about what you know; it's about what you can figure out, and how you can use the answers you have to solve a larger puzzle. It is a totally different trivia experience than what you may be used to!
