About Ramshackle Trivia
My name is Matt, and I am your friendly proprietor/host of Ramshackle Trivia!
A lifelong trivia enthusiast, I started hosting for a big corporate national bar trivia company in 2017. It was the best job I ever had, and it was an invaluable experience where I learned a lot about the performative aspect of trivia hosting. But I long thought that I'd be able to put out a better product myself. In the Spring of 2024, I decided the time was right for me to strike out on my own, and Ramshackle Trivia was born.
The Ramshackle name stems from a weekly online game that I did for 62 weeks during the pandemic. We had a lot of fun, and the questions were good, but the production values left a lot to be desired. The brick-and-mortar version is a bit more polished, but we liked the name, so we kept it.
Ramshackle Trivia is currently featured weekly at three venues:
* Mondays at 7:00 - The Bonniebrook, 104 Serene Lane, Butler PA 16002 (BYOB)
* Tuesdays at 7:00 - Butler Brew Works, 101 S. Main Street, Butler PA 16001
* Thursdays at 7:00 - Saxonburg Fireman's Club, 155 Pittsburgh Street, Saxonburg PA 16056
We are also featured at once- or twice-monthly themed games on the weekend at Tannin & Tonic by Porchvue Winery, 126 N. Main Street, Butler PA 16001. Look for those dates on our Upcoming Special Games page below.
